PATIALA: 'Sarbat Da Bhala' Charitable Trust has started working on construction of houses which were destroyed in recent earthquake which shook the neighbouring country down to rubble.
PATIALA: 'Sarbat Da Bhala' Charitable Trust has started working on construction of houses which were destroyed in recent earthquake which shook the neighbouring country down to rubble.
SP Singh Oberoi said that he arrived in Nepal immediately after the Earthquake and had provided basic needs such as food; rations, medicines and tents etc. to the earthquake victims.
He had also promised to build houses for the affected families. Dr. Oberoi, in a press release issued here, said that SARBAT DA BHALA Charitable Trust has started working on construction of houses which was destroyed in recent earthquake. He is currently in Nepal.
Dr. Oberoi said he has held long deliberations with Nepal government and the administration on Saturday regarding to build 2500 houses. He said that sheets required for the construction of houses and cash amount from 2 to 10 thousand per house are being given to the affected families so they can build houses before the onset of rain.
Meanwhile, 30 kg of rice per has been distributed to 1500 families. Others who present on this occasion were MP Mr. Gagan Thapa, Krishna Prasad Sitola, MP Tara Nath Dahala, Trust’s Nepal unit president Pritam Singh and Angad Singh.
