DHARAMSALA: The upcoming match against Delhi will be a challenging one, as Punjab Kings XI's batting coach Wasim Zafar has stated. Addressing a press conference in Dharamsala Tuesday , Zafer said that despite Delhi's elimination from the playoffs, there will be no room for complacency. Punjab will be exerting full force to secure a place in the playoffs, and winning the next two matches in Dharamshala is crucial to achieving this goal.
Zafar also noted that the pitch and outfield at Dharamshala Cricket Ground are conducive to fast-paced play, with the presence of grass on the pitch ensuring a good ball-to-bat connection this could result in a high-scoring match between Punjab and Delhi.
He admitted that In the past, Punjab has missed out on the playoffs stage, but this time the team is confident that they will make it. He also confirmed that fast bowler Kagiso Rabada is fully fit and available for tomorrow's match.
Looking ahead to the match against Rajasthan on May 19, Zafar stated that the team will plan for it later, but for now, their focus is on securing a victory against Delhi tomorrow. With their eyes set on the playoffs, Punjab Kings XI is determined to give it their all and emerge victorious.
