INDIANAPOLIS(US): Over the past 60 years, Talbot Street Art Fair in Indianapolis has grown in size and stature, and today nearly 300 artists and craftsmen from across the country exhibit their work and artist creations in every kind of media we can imagine on a street that takes on the aura of narrow bazaar in Old Delhi, Amritsar or Istanbul with 300 tents of creativity lined up along Talbot and some side streets.
These views were expressed by KP Singh, who is participating for the 45 years uninterrupted. He said "over the past 45 years, my artwork has traveled to places around Indiana, USA, and also to other countries from this Art Fair. Many civic and cultural leaders, businessmen, media representatives, and 30,000-50,000 people from around the State and beyond visit and support this fun and family-friendly celebration of the arts as an important community asset."
To his surprise Indianapolis Mayor and Mrs. Greg Ballard stopped by at KP Singh's booth. "Mayor Ballard knew I was exhibiting my artwork and participating in the Talbot Street Art Fair, one of the oldest and well-established Art Fairs in the country for the 45th time.
"I was stunned that Mayor and Mrs. Ballard would take the time to visit the Art Fair and show their support for the arts. Mayor Ballard's thoughtfulness and support of cultures, diversity, and Indianapolis happenings is amazing. Mayor Ballard and Mrs. Ballard are servant-leaders and ambassadors who truly embody the welcome spirit of this All-American City."
