Father daughter duo booked for breach of trust, cheating
SHAHKOT: The Shahkot police have booked a father daughter duo on the charges of breach of trust and cheating.The investigating officer (IO) and Talwandi Sanghera police post in-charge Bhupindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Harjindar Singh alias Kala a resident of Raunta village and his daughter Sandip Kaur.

Dalbir Singh a resident of Dharmiwal village complained to the police that the accused promised to migrate abroad his son Buta Singh on the basis of marriage and he deposited Sandip Kaur’s education fee in her account and she went to Canada after marrying Buta Singh but after reaching there Sandip Kaur broke her promise and thus cheated them.
IO said that a case under sections 406(breach of trust) and 420(cheating) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
