100 LMT wheat procured in Punjab
CHANDIGARH: An official spokesperson of the Punjab government said that 111, 71,753 MT of wheat had been procured in the state till date. The government agencies procured 107, 55, 242 MT for central pool. While the private traders procured 2, 70,797 MT of wheat till last evening.

Giving the details of agency wise procurement, he said that PUNGRAIN procured 16,12,603 MT (16.3%) whereas MARKFED procured maximum out of the government agencies at 19,83,959 MT (20.0%) PUNSUP procured 19, 29,603 MT (19.5%) and PSWC 11, 91,745 MT (12.0%) and PAIC procured 9, 55,033 (9.7%). The Central government agency FCI has procured 17, 37,644 MT (17.5%) of wheat for the central pool.
