Woman allegedly poisoned by live-in partner

NEW DELHI : A 27-year-old woman on Monday died after allegedly being poisoned by her live-in partner, police said.

A complaint was filed by the victim's mother, four days ago, alleging that accused Nalla Narender, with whom Reena was in a live-in relationship, had confined the victim in the house and was torturing her physically and mentally. According to the complaint, Reena was forced to drink some liquid four days back resulting in her vomiting blood and today at 4 AM, she died while undergoing treatment died, police said in a release.

The accused, who is currently in police custody, is being booked under IPC section 302 (murder), police said, adding, the case is under investigation
