Control room set up at district level to deal with possible floods-Deputy Commissioner

AMRITSAR: Keeping in view the upcoming rainy season, District Flood Control Room has been set up in room number 129 of the first floor of District Administrative Complex under Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ghansham Thori Valo to deal with possible floods.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the phone number of the District Flood Control Room is 0183-2229125 and this control room will start its work from June 15 . He said that in this control room, the duty of employees has been assigned according to shifts and these employees will receive information from all SDMs and other departments of the district regarding the damage caused by floods/rain and will enter in the register and his report in written form. will give to the District Control Room Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner.

While instructing the group of employees in the control room, he said that no negligence of any kind will be tolerated in the flood duty and no employee will switch off his phone.

The Deputy Commissioner said that this control room will work from 8 am to 8 pm.
