Canada based gangster Sandeep Singh booked for extortion in Punjab
PHAGWARA: The Nakodar Sadar police have booked an NRI gangster on the charge of extortion. Investigating Officer (IO) Tirath Ram said the accused has been identified as Sandeep Singh alias Suni resident of Preet Nagar, Nakodar, and presently living in Canada.

The victim complained to the police that the accused phoned him and demanded a ransom and threatened to kill him in case of failure.
IO said a case under section 308(4) (putting a person in fear of death or of grievous hurt to commit extortion) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
