SGPC President Advocate Dhami met the family of Bhai Amrik Singh during his visit to America
AMRITSAR: Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, had a special meeting with with Bibi Harmeet Kaur, wife of Amar Shaheed Bhai Amrik Singh, son Bhai Tarlochan Singh and family during his visit to America and respectfully remembered their sacrifices and services rendered to the Panth. He also held Panthic discussions with the family of Bhai Amrik Singh.
On this occasion, along with the SGPC President, the delegation included Senior Vice President Raghujit Singh Virk, Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Manan, Member Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, OSD Satbir Singh.
Advocate Dhami said that the name of martyr Bhai Amrik Singh will always be remembered in the history of the Sikh community as a symbol of unparalleled sacrifice, determination and Panthic dedication.
He said that Bhai Amrik Singh dedicated his life to the rights of the Sikh community, religious freedom and the advancement of the nation and his martyrdom has earned a special place in the history of the Sikh struggle.
The SGPC President, while interacting with the family members, said that it is the duty of the entire nation to respect the families of the martyrs.
He said that such families have made great sacrifices for the progress of the Panth, which can never be forgotten. He also shared his views on the life, ideology and Panthic contribution of Bhai Amrik Singh.
