AMRITSAR : After the Haryana Police registered an FIR for allegedly preparing a false report regarding the controversial video of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has asked the Chief Minister to resign from his post immediately.
He said that the incident has not only raised questions on the administrative credibility but also raised concerns about the impartiality and transparency of democratic institutions.
Advocate Dhami said that preparing reports contrary to facts or misleading in any sensitive matter is wrong from both legal and moral points of view.
He said that this matter is related to Sikh sentiments.
The SGPC president said that Akal Takht Sahib had conducted an impartial investigation from two approved labs, but Bhagwant Mann, instead of admitting his mistake, has tried to challenge Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
He said that this is a Takht established by the sixth Guru, with which those who bowed down to it have never succeeded.
The SGPC President said that it is even more sad that those who have taken an oath to protect the law are committing fraud. An attempt is being made to mislead the people by blaming others for their mistakes.
He said that the investigation of cases related to public offices should be free from political influence and no person should be considered above the law.
Advocate Dhami said that the real face of the Aam Aadmi Party has been exposed with the registration of the FIR by the Haryana Police. This party was spreading false propaganda to mislead the people towards Sikh institutions.
The SGPC chief appealed to the Sangat not to face such a fraudulent Chief Minister who was declared a traitor to the Guru and anti-Khalsa Panth by Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
