BKU Ekta seized Mehal Kalan toll plaza for three hours in protest against fake cases against social activists in Punjab

MEHAL KALAN(Barnala): The activists of Bharti Kisan Union (Ekta) today held dharna at Mehal Kalan Toll plaza and made passage of vehicles free for three hours from 11 AM to 2 PM in protest against the high handedness of AAP government and registring fake case against social activist Bhana Sidhu.

Nanak Singh Amla Singh wala and Amarjit Singh Thuliwal president and vice president of BKU Mehal Kalan block said that AAP government had came to power on the slogan of bringing revolution in Punjab. He said that state government was harrassing social activists. They said that youtuber and social activist Bhana Sidhu was arrested in fake case. Earlier Parminder Jhota of Mansa who fights against drug menace was arrested in a fake case.

BKU leaders said that Punjab Police had also registered fake case against Manjit Singh Dhaner and others who are fighting to protect Kulrian abadkaar farmers. Rajinder Pal state president of Inqulab center has been booked by Barnala police. BKU Ekta district president Waheguru Singh who is fighting against illgal acitivites of colonisers was booked under political pressure.

They said that RTI activist Bhagwant Rai was booked under fake rape case. They said that Kabaddi player Paramjit Singh Pumma has been sent to jail in a fake case. They said that police was working under political pressure of AAP leaders.

The BKU leaders Jagrup Singh Gehal, Mukand Singh Hardaspura, Jagga Singh Mehal Kalan, Bhinder Sigh Mumm, Satpal Singh and Gurpreet Singh who also addressed the farmers dharna warned the Bhagwant Mann government against atrocities on public leaders. They said that today's dharna was symbolic but if AAP would not stop police atrocities, a state wide agitation would be launched.
