BJP Will Form Government on Its Own in Punjab in 2027, Says State President Keval Singh Dhillon
PHAGWARA; Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Keval Singh Dhillon on Friday expressed confidence that the party would secure victory in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections and form the government on its own.
Dhillon made these remarks during his visit to Phagwara, where he was welcomed by party workers at the residence of former Union Minister Som Parkash. Party supporters greeted him with floral garlands and raised slogans in support of the BJP.
Addressing party workers and media persons, Dhillon alleged that people in Punjab were dissatisfied with the present state government and claimed that public sentiment would be reflected when voters get an opportunity to exercise their democratic choice in the next Assembly elections.
He said that the BJP would intensify its preparations and launch a large-scale campaign to take the party’s policies and programmes to every household across the state. Referring to the possibility of any electoral alliance, Dhillon stated that it was premature to comment on the issue and that an appropriate decision would be taken by the party leadership at the right time.
Former Union Minister Som Parkash, Anita Som Parkash, former minister Tikshan Sud, BJP Kisan Morcha national leader Avtar Singh Mand, industrialist Jatinder Singh Kundi, Bunty Varmani and several BJP workers were present on the occasion.
