3 accused arrested in kidnapping, extortion case by Haryana Police

KAITHAL: While investigating the case of kidnapping of a person and demanding money, the team of SI Jai Bhagwan of CIA-1 police arrested Rajendra Singh, resident of Babarpur district Patiala Punjab, Harpreet resident of Hiragarh district Patiala Punjab and Jaspal Singh resident of Nyayatpur district Patiala Punjab.

Police spokesperson said that according to the complaint of Meena, resident of village Kaul, on January 9, her husband Yogesh was coming to his home from Kithana. she got a call from an unknown number saying that your husband is in our custody, give Rs 5 lakh otherwise we will kill him. Who told that they had kidnapped him from the bus stand Kaithal. Regarding which a case was registered in the Civil Lines police station. The spokesperson said that the accused Kuldeep has already been arrested in the said case. During interrogation it was revealed that Kuldeep and his friend had kidnapped Yogesh because of money transaction. Accused Kuldeep was given police remand for 2 days from the court. The above three accused were produced in the court on Friday and obtained 2 days police remand.

Answering a media query on the cable operators issue the Patiala MP said, "I strongly condemn this highhandedness being done in cahoots with the police against the cable operators who were earning their honest living through this business and now have been forced into hiding and are afraid of their and their families well being. Snatching someone's source of income is the worst thing that anyone can do, and sadly it seems like this government is doing exactly that."
