According to Assistant Civil Surgeon Bharat Bhushan, World Immunization Week is celebrated every year from April 24 to April 30. This time the event was held in honor of the commendable work done by the field health workers during COVID-19. The immunization program was started to protect pregnant women and newborns from many deadly diseases. In view of Covid's condition, our staff today are working diligently for Covid vaccination.
He said that the mass media wing also urged the people to get more vaccinations to avoid covid. As a result, Kovid's cases are rare today. Before the vaccination, the mortality rate due to covid was very high in people but after the vaccination, its graph has come down a lot. He also instructed the health workers to continue the work of vaccination diligently.
District Immunization Officer Dr. Arvind Kumar on one occasion spoke about the achievements of immunization and said that we have achieved 100% victory over polio with the cooperation of the people. But there are still cases of polio in the neighboring country, which is why the polio vaccine is being given continuously.
Elaborating on the immunization, the District Immunization Officer said that the target of Covid-19 vaccination has been achieved to a large extent. With good coverage of covid vaccination we are overcoming this disease. He appealed to the public that children should be vaccinated against BCG, pentavalent, polio drops, rotavirus, PCV, MR and IVP to protect them from serious diseases.
