Rayat Bahra engg students bid farewell to seniors

MOHALI: A colourful farewell party `Rukhsat’ was organized by the students of  B Tech 5th semester of University School of Engineering and Technology, Rayat Bahra University, to give a fond and affectionate send off to the students of B Tech 7th semester here today.

The program kicked off with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the students wishing their seniors good luck and bright future. Thereafter, there was a cultural bonanza comprising of dance, music, games and laughter as the hosts impressed showcasing their vast repository of skills. Some of the outgoing students also participated in ramp walk on the stage and they were given titles based in different rounds.

The evening saw the crowning of  Tanvi and Sheikh Shahrukh as Miss Farewell and Mr Farewell respectively, whereas Miss Talented and Mr Talented honours were bagged by Priya Gambhir and Ravi Saini. Ms Personality and Mr Personality were bestowed on Mannat and Simranjeet Singh respectively.

Chairman of the Rayat Bhara Group Gurvinder Singh Bahra wished all the best to the outgoing students for success and accomplishments in all their future endeavours.

Vice-Chancellor Dr Daljit Singh congratulated the outgoing students for the employment they gained by getting placed in reputed companies during the placement drives organized by the institution. Dean USET Dr Ajay Goel thanked everyone for the love and enthusiasm they showed in the event.
