DHARAMSALA: Himachal Pradesh's political scene has heated up over the municipal elections. The Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded a prominent figure in the electoral arena, fielding former Union Minister and MP Anurag Thakur in the Dharamshala constituency. Anurag Thakur's vigorous campaign from Baijnath to Dharamshala has created a stir in the Congress camp. Addressing the public meeting, Anurag Thakur launched a scathing attack on the Congress government, saying that the state government only gave false guarantees to the public, while development on the ground has completely stalled. He stated that the condition of roads, water, sanitation, and basic amenities in the Municipal Corporation is deplorable, and now the public is demanding answers.
Anurag Thakur said"The Congress government in the state only gave false guarantees, but delivery has been zero. Roads, water, and sanitation have all stalled in the Municipal Corporation. The public will now demand accountability. The people of Dharamshala have made up their minds: this time, the BJP will be in power in the Municipal Corporation, guaranteeing development.
