Two travel agents booked for duping two villagers of Rs 47 Lakhs
LOHIAN: The Lohian Khas police have booked two travel agents for allegedly duping two villagers of Rs.47 lakhs on the pretext of sending them abroad.The investigating officer (IO) Avtar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Gurpreet Singh a resident of Fateh Pur Bhangwan village and his brother Lakhvir Singh .

IO said that Talwindar Singh a resident of Parjian Kalan village and Satnam Singh a resident of Gopi Pur village in Kapurthala complained to Jalandhar(rural) senior superintendent of police (SSP) that they paid Rs 24 lakhs and Rs 23 Lakhs respectively to the accused for facilitating their migration abroad but they were was not send abroad not returned the money.
IO said that cases under sections 406 (breach of trust) , 420 (cheating)of the IPC have registered against the accused after inquiries .
