Shakshi Sahni took charge as Deputy Commissioner Amritsar

AMRITSAR: Bench Officer Madam Shakshe Sahni has assumed her post as Deputy Commissioner Amritsar today . It may be mentioned that Deputy Commissioner Sahni has previously served as Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana and Patiala

Before this, the police personnel saluted and welcomed them on their arrival in Amritsar . Madam Shakshi Sahni said that she is fortunate that she has got the opportunity to serve Guru Nagari and will fulfill her responsibility diligently .

After assuming office, Madam Sahni held a meeting with the district officials regarding Solid Waste Management, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee elections , stubble management and ongoing development works in the district .

Madam Sahni, while addressing the media, said that her first priority is to provide citizen services to the people without any embarrassment . She said that 90 percent of the people have to deal with service centers.

She said that the ongoing development works in the district will be speeded up . She said that there is a greater need to make farmers aware of stubble management that stubble should not be set on fire and to encourage them to manage stubble without setting it on fire .

She said that the district administration will provide full support to the farmers for red stubble control using both in-situ and ex-situ techniques and the required machinery will be provided to the farmers on time .

Madam Sahni said that under the directions of the Chief Minister of Punjab, camps are being organized under the AAP government in each assembly constituency . Where government services are being provided to the people near their homes .

In a meeting with the officials of the National Highway, she said that the ongoing projects should be expedited and the projects should be implemented on time .

After this, Deputy Commissioner Madam Sahni also paid obeisance at Sri Darbar Sahib and Shri Durgiana Temple where they were honored by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Durgiana Committee .

On this occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Nikas Kumar , Mrs. Jyoti Bala , Madam Paramjit Kaur Assistant Commissioner , Asst. Commissioner Madar Gursimran Kaur , Madam Sonam , S. d . AMS Sri Lal Biswas , Mr. Arvinder Singh , Mr. Ravinder Singh Arora , District Revenue Officer Mr. Navkirt Singh , Regional Transport Secretary Mr. Arshdeep Singh and other officials were also present .
