SC Commission summons Secretary of School Education Department
The Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission has today taken suo-moto notice and summoned the Secretary School Education Department, Punjab Government, in the matter of ignoring the reservation policy applicable to the Scheduled Castes category in the advertisement issued by the Recruitment Board of the Education Department for the posts of lecturers.
CHANDIGARH: The Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission has today taken suo-moto notice and summoned the Secretary School Education Department, Punjab Government, in the matter of ignoring the reservation policy applicable to the Scheduled Castes category in the advertisement issued by the Recruitment Board of the Education Department for the posts of lecturers.
Giving information in this regard, the Chairman of the Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission, Jasvir Singh Garhi, said that this matter had come to his notice, on which the Commission, taking action, has ordered the Secretary School Education Department, Punjab, to appear before the Commission in person on July 3, 2026.
