Satinder Singh Elected Unanimously as President of Jandiala Guru Municipal Council

AMRITSAR: During the General House meeting held today for the election of the President and Vice President of the Municipal Council, Jandiala Guru, Councillor Mr. Satinder Singh, elected from Ward No. 1, was unanimously elected as the President of the Municipal Council, while Councillor Mr. Amandeep Singh Virk, elected from Ward No. 15, was chosen as the Vice President.

The meeting for the election of the President and Vice President of the 15-member Municipal Council was chaired by Ms. Alka Kalia, SDM Amritsar-I. At the outset, all newly elected councillors were administered the oath of office and secrecy. Mr. Harbhajan Singh ETO, Cabinet Minister, Punjab Government and MLA from Jandiala Guru Assembly Constituency, was also present on the occasion.

It is pertinent to mention that out of the total 15 wards of the Municipal Council, Jandiala Guru, candidates of the Aam Aadmi Party had secured victory in 13 wards during the recently concluded municipal elections. During today's election process, all councillors unanimously elected Mr. Satinder Singh as President and Mr. Amandeep Singh Virk as Vice President.

Congratulating the newly elected President and Vice President, Cabinet Minister Mr. Harbhajan Singh ETO said that the new Municipal Council team would provide fresh momentum and direction to the overall development of Jandiala Guru. He stated that the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening civic infrastructure and ensuring better public services for residents. He expressed confidence that the newly elected council would live up to the expectations of the people and further enhance the heritage identity of Jandiala Guru.

Expressing gratitude to all councillors, Cabinet Minister Mr. Harbhajan Singh ETO, and the party leadership, the newly elected President Mr. Satinder Singh and Vice President Mr. Amandeep Singh Virk assured that they would discharge their responsibilities with utmost honesty, dedication, and commitment. They further stated that public issues and development works would be addressed on a priority basis, ensuring that citizens receive efficient services without any inconvenience.
