Punjab declares paid holiday for Haryana workmen on May 12
CHANDIGARH: To enable the workmen in working in Shops and Commercial Establishments situated in the adjoining area with the State of Haryana, the voters of Haryana working in the State of Punjab may be allowed paid holiday on the day of poll i.e. May 12, 2019 (Sunday), So that the voter of Haryana State working in the Punjab State are able to cast their votes, it is considered in the public interest to declare 12-05-2019 (Sunday) as a paid holiday in the said area.
