AMRITSAR: A large Panthic gathering was held today at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall to strengthen the decision of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to declare the Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann as a traitor to the Guru and an opponent of the Khalsa Panth.
The gathering was attended by the Chief Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, Singh Sahib Giani Amarjit Singh, Jathedar of Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib and Executive Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Singh Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj, Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Giani Tek Singh, President of the Shiromani Committee Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, Jathedar of Takht Sri Hazur Sahib, Singh Sahib Giani Kulwant Singh, Giani Paramveer Singh, Shiromani Panth Akali Buddha Dal Chief Baba Balbir Singh 96th Crore, Misl Shaheed Tarna Dal Harian Velan Chief Baba Nihal Singh, Tarna Dal Baba Bakala Chief Baba Joga Singh, Baba Major Singh Sodhi Tarna Dal along with Prominent personalities of the sect and a large number of devotees participated.
The acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, while addressing the gathering, said that Sri Akal Takht Sahib is the eternal throne of the Guru. The governments of the time attacked this throne many times, which the Khalsa has always fought back firmly. He said that the forces that are deluded should not forget the history that even the great ones had to bow down to this throne in the end. Taking strict notice of the false propaganda being done against Sikh institutions, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj reprimanded the government that the people who are coming from outside and doing such things on social media in Chandigarh and Mohali should be stopped within 10 days. If this phenomenon does not stop, the Khalsa Panth will be strong enough to take action on its own. He said that to connect the youth and children with Sikhism, a Khalsa Waheer will be run from Sri Akal Takht Sahib to Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Talwandi Sabo on July 24 on the occasion of Miri Piri Diwas, the aim of which will be to spread the religion as well as to make people aware.
He also asked the SGPC to celebrate the foundation day of Sri Akal Takht Sahib on a large scale every year by taking along Panthic organizations.
Meanwhile, Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Giani Tek Singh said that the governments are trying to weaken Sikh institutions by making laws with their own courage. The Khalsa Panth needs to be aware of such agendas being run by the agencies and confront them with unity. Speaking on behalf of the Nihang Singh Dals, Baba Balbir Singh 96th Crore, Baba Nihal Singh Harian Velan Wale and Baba Major Singh Sodhi said that all the Nihang Singh Dals are dedicated to Sri Akal Takht Sahib and will firmly follow every order.
While addressing the gethering, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that Sri Akal Takht Sahib is the true Takht established by the sixth Guru, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib, whose supremacy cannot be challenged by anyone. He said that it is the duty of every Sikh to follow the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
He said that today is the establishment day of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and the entire Panth standing united for the upholding of the orders given by the five Singh Sahibs is a response to those who are trying to destroy its dignity and traditions.
He said that whoever has surrendered to this Takht by giving up his ego has always gone away pure. Advocate Dhami also specially thanked all the Sikh organizations, sects and Sangat who had reached at the invitation of the SGPC. The Shiromani Committee President also presented a resolution with the consent of all the organizations, which was approved by all the organizations and the congregation amidst cheers.

Paramjit Singh Sarna, Baba Pritam Singh Dumeliwale, Baba Teja Singh Khudewale, farmer leader S. Harinder Singh Lakhewal, S. Balbir Singh Rajewal, Baba Hakam Singh Nirmale Samprada, S. Amrik Singh Ballowal, narrator Bhai Jaswant Singh, Baba Pritam Singh Dumeliwale, Baba Gurnam Singh Droli Bhai.
