Wamiqa Gabbi says her parents told Madhuri Dixit childhood stories that proved she was a beautiful part of her life

MUMBAI: Actress Wamiqa Gabbi recently turned overwhelmed after finally meeting her childhood idol and Bollywood superstar Madhuri Dixit.

She shared a video on her social media account on Wednesday, revealing that she has been a fan of the Bollywood icon ever since she was 13 years old.

Taking to her social media account, Wamiqa shared a heartwarming video documenting the dream encounter.

The clip opened with the actress recreating Madhuri Dixit's signature 'Dhak Dhak' step with a wide smile on her face.

Moments later, Madhuri, looking graceful in a beautiful pink saree, walked up from behind and surprised Wamiqa with a warm hug.

The embrace left Wamiqa beaming with joy as she immediately turned around and hugged Madhuri tightly.

Wamiqa looked elegant in a powder blue ethnic ensemble.

During their interaction, Madhuri was also seen warmly asking Wamiqa about how she had been.

Sharing the video, Wamiqa wrote, "My closest friends who know the 13 year old me, obviously know how magical this moment was for me. Meeting THE MADHURI DIXIT uhooo uhoooo. I made her meet mom and dad and kuch aise kisse sunaye jinse yeh zahir ho jaye ki woh mere bachpan ka kitna khoobsurat hissa rahi hain Tumpyaavar khup prem aahe @madhuridixitnene"

Talking about Wamiqa's journey in the entertainment industry, she began at a very young age. She made her first appearance in Imtiaz Ali's 2007 blockbuster 'Jab We Met', where she played one of Geet's cousins. Though it was a brief role, it marked her Bollywood debut. She later appeared in small roles in films like 'Love Aaj Kal', 'Mausam' and 'Bittoo Boss' before gradually establishing herself as a leading actress.

Reportedly, she has featured in many successful Punjabi films, including 'Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22', while also making a mark in Malayalam cinema with 'Godha'.

In recent years, Wamiqa has received widespread acclaim for her performances in Hindi projects such as 'Jubilee', Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Khufiya', 'Baby John' and others.
