“An Eye for Journalism-A guide for Beginners” launched by Principal KCA

AMRITSAR: “An Eye for Journalism-A guide for Beginners ”Text book authored by Dr Sania Marwaha Assistant Professor, Khalsa College Amritsar (KCA) was jointly launched by Dr. Mehal Singh, Principal of the College , Dean of Arts Prof Jaspreet Kaur and Dr. Marwaha, Head PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at College campus today.

The book release was followed by a keynote speech by Dr. Mehal Singh. In his address Dr. Singh stressed on importance of Media and said that this book presents an overview of communication and role of various channels of mass media covering operational areas and is designed to serve as a textbook for all students of mass communication. He also Congratulated Dr. Marwaha for her dedication and hard work for publishing this manuscript.

During this event, Prof. Jaspreet Kaur, delivered a compelling discourse shedding light on various facets of the book.
Dr. Marwaha said that the book meets the highest standards of publishing, including concerning design and layout, and has been successful in highlighting the essential topics of media technology. Talking about structure of the book Dr. Marwaha said that the book is divided into two major Units. The first unit contains three chapters and is concerned with the origin and development of communication. The second unit of the book consists of five chapters and concerns itself with the News and elements of News that is basically print media. The book includes all aspects of media literacy as it is an essential survival skill for everyone in the society.
