Two killed in different mishaps in Phagwara

PHAGWARA: One 75 years elderly villager was killed on the spot when a speeding car hit him near here on Phagwara---Hoshiarpur road last night. The deceased identified as Kehar Singh resident of Village Bhularai was crossing the road, the police said. The Police have registered a case.The body of the deceased was handed over to the family members after post-mortem examination conducted in local civil hospital.

In another hit and run case One Scooterist was killed on the spot when a speeding car hit his Scooter near Sunrra-Rajputa village on national higways on Saturday. The deceased identified as Rana Ram resident of the village Sunrra was going to School on his Activa number PB-09B- 6238 when the speeding car hit his Scooter. The Car driver managed to flee after hitting the Scooter and leaving the deceased behind. The Police have handed over the body to his family after autopsy conducted in local civil hospital. A case under section 279,304A of IPC has been registered against the car driver.
