PU to Organize Industry-Academia Round Table Meet

CHANDIGARH: DST-Centre for Policy Research at Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh in collaboration with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is organizing a ‘Round Table Meet’ to promote Industry- Academia (I-A) Research Collaborations under public-private-partnership (ppp) mode on Thursday, April 28 in the Golden Jubilee Hall of the university.

Experts from industry ranging from multinational companies to local start-ups, industry associations, scientists from universities and national research laboratories, national funding agencies and policy makers will deliberate on the ‘I-A Research Collaboration Draft’ prepared by the Centre. The ecommendations of the Round Table Meet will be submitted to government of India for preparing a national policy on bridging the gap between the public and the private sector research. Dr Girish Sahni, Director General, Council for Scientific Research (CSIR), Prof. S K Das, Director IIT-Ropar along with directors of various national research laboratories located in and around Chandigarh will be participating in the Meet.
