Dr. Ravi Memorial Award and Sanman Samaroh on March 6

CHANDIGARH: Dr. Ravi Memorial Trust, Patiala in collaboration with School of Punjabi Studies, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh and Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi would organize Dr. Ravi Memorial Award and Sanman Samaroh at Golden Jubilee Hall, PU on March 6, 2016.

Dr. Ravi Memorial Award will be conferred upon Pakistan based Punjabi Progressive Poet, Writer and folklorist, Janab Ahmed Salim. Dr. Ravi Memorial Sanman would be conferred upon former President of GCLA, Dr. Manjit Singh Sidhu.

PU Vice Chancellor Professor Arun Kumar Grover would be the guest of honor and Dr. Jaspal Singh, former editor “Desh Sewak” and Secretary, Chandigarh Sahitya Akademy would preside over the function.

Eminent Hindi Poet, Writer and Journalist Manglesh Dabral would deliver Dr. Ravi Memorial Lecture on the topic “Role of Intellectuals in the Present Situation”. Prof. Gulzer Singh Sandhu, Chairman, Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi will also grace the occasion.
