BJP, RSS feel the heat of poor law and order in Punjab

CHANDIGARH: The BJP and RSS who had turned blind eye to deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab and blindly supported its ruling partner Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) have felt the heat of rising crime in the border state only after RSS leader Jagdish Gagneja was attacked at Jalandhar.

BJP leaders of Punjab remained silent spectator to the spree of political murders and attacks on critics of Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and Revenue Minister Bikaram Singh Majithia. The silent suppport of SAD actions by BJP has not only made the people of state to suffer in the hands of goons, it has also eroded the base of BJP in the state. BJP had only acted as mouth piece of Badal family and unreasonably supported the line of action adopted by SAD. The SAD and BJP leaders have always described  law and order situation under control and blamed the opposition parties for defaming the ruling alliance.

The Congress party has blamed Badals for designing the violence incidents in the state including the incidents of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahin and Quran to create the religious tension in the state for political gains. The attacks of mother of head of Namdhari sect and Baba Ranjit Singh Dhadhrianwala were considered part of the chain to vitiate the atmosphere of state and to silence the rebels. The Police headed by Sukhbir Badal has failed to make any headway in several important incidents of murders. It is believed that goons involvolved in the henious crimes enjoy the political patronage.

Had BJP and RSS taken strong stand against the actions of SAD leaders from the very begining, the things would have been different in Punjab. One can easily accuse RSS, BJP and SAD being hand in glove to let the situation go out of hand to serve their political interests. The SAD-BJP alliance is showing signs of frustration over emergence of Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) in Punjab. Instead of addressing the issues which caused unrest among the common people, the SAD-BJP alliance has started threatening the AAP leaders and also registered cases against them. Badal had accused AAP for causing unrest in Punjab. What could be more foolish than accusing AAP for all the ills in Punjab. Badal has been threatening the people of state that if AAP comes to power, state would be ruined. SAD-BJP are trying to give message that if they would not be allowed to remain in power they can ruin the state. This ios wshat BJP and SAD are doing in Delhi where they are not allowing an elected government to function and then accusing them for not performing.

The situation in Punjab is turning grim and only SAD-BJP have to take the blame. The alliance government has failed on all the fronts. The mafias rule the roost, the ruling family has grabbed all the businesses, illegal mining continued even after Badal announced policy of zero tolerance towards illegal mining. He is taking same position of zero tolerance against crime in Punjab. Crime and tolerance go  together.

People of Punjab need to be cautious of evil designs of SAD-BJP alliance and not to fall in trap. Punjab shall live in harmony and peace and defeat the powers that are trying to push Punjab into dark days.
