AIIMS Bilaspur in Himachal Pradersh inaugurates

BILASPUR (HP): The inauguration ceremony of the first MBBS academic session
(2020-21) of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bilaspur was held on Monday on
its premises.The ceremony was inaugurated by Prof. Pramod Garg, President of the
Institute Body, AIIMS Bilaspur.
Professor Jagat Ram , Director, AIIMS Bilaspur, Dr Rakesh Sehgal (Nodal
Officer), Prof. Sanjay Vikrant, Dean Academics, Lt Col S S Nagiyal Sena Medal **
Deputy Director (Admin) were present on the occasion.
The highlight of the event was the White coat ceremony of the newly joined MBBS
students. .Prof Jagat Ram delivered the welcome address and stressed upon the
disciplined in life of the medical students who were going to be future doctors of this
Institute.
While addressing the gatherings, the Chief Guest Prof. Pramod Garg highlighted
the importance of establishing the AIIMS Bilaspur a long way in providing quality health
care with equity , impart high standards of medical education and promote research .He
congratulated newly joined MBBS students and encouraged them to devote their life in
this temple of learning .He thanked the Hon’ble Prime Minister and Hon’ble Health
Minister Dr Harsh Vardan for their leadership and vision in establishing AIIMS Institute
across the country in order to enhance medical services in the country .He also thanked
Mr J P Nadda for promoting and establishing AIIMS at Bilaspur
He also thanked Mr Jai Ram Thakur chief minister for his continuous support to the
Institute. The chief guest also interacted with the Faculty Members of AIIMS Bilaspur
and urged them to make this budding Institute into a Premier Institute in near future.
Dr Rakesh sehagal purposed the vote of thanks and in particular appreciated the
efforts of Lt.Col S S Nagiyal, Sena Medal ** DDA of the Institute .
After the ceremony president of the Institute visited the campus and took stock of
the ongoing infra structure development and gave future directions for timely completion
of the Institute.
