AMRITSAR: To protect the interests of Punjab, the Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Maan) today raised its voice against the state government and the central government.
During the press conference, the members of Akali Dal gave a sharp reaction to the absence of SGPC elections for 13 years, the Yoga incident at Harmandir Sahib and the statements of MP Kangana Ranaut. He said that the Sikh community has never received justice and the government only supports the opposition on such issues.
Speaking during the press conference, General Secretary Harpal Singh Blair said that today only the rights of Punjab will be discussed. There are many such issues of Punjab, on which the governments do not consider it necessary to respond.
First of all, there was a demand to hold the Shiromani Committee elections, which have not been held for the last 13 years. He said that this election is the right of the Sikh community from which they cannot be deprived. After this, Kangana Ranaut's statement of slapping Punjabis and then the woman who came to do yoga in Harmandir Sahib was also sharply attacked. He said that such statements have never been made on behalf of the Sikh community that it is the fault of one person and everyone should be punished, in such a situation this statement of Kangana is very shameful and a pre-planned.
Even an FIR against a yoga girl is not a permanent solution. So this woman should be punished so that no one else can do such a thing.
After this, Iman Singh Mann attacked the state government and said that panchayat bids are being conducted by sitting in the offices. The Punjab government has come to power by telling lies. Sarpanchis are also being given sitting in offices and panchayat lands have been given to their loved ones at cheap prices. A demand letter has also been given to the DC against this so that democracy does not remain suppressed amid the voice of change.
Youth wing patron Iman Singh Mann said that they demand that companies which employ Punjabi youth should get concession in GST, while companies employing poor youth should also get concession so that Punjabi Language can gain importance. He said that in the upcoming by-elections, his candidates will raise these issues so that there is a discussion on this issue in the Vidhan Sabha as well.
On this occasion, Baba Lahna Singh said that by making Ravneet Singh Bittu, the defeated MP from Ludhiana, the government has proved that the enemies of the Sikh community are honored even after defeat. Raising his voice in favor of Amritpal Singh, he said that in what direction is the Indian government taking the Sikhs by not taking the oath and locking him in jail to the person whom the people have voted for on one side. For this, all the parties should speak unitedly and put this issue before the whole world.
General Secretary Upkar Singh Sandhu said that Shiromani Committee is equally responsible for incidents of blasphemy. Everything has happened because of the failure of the management, if the management was right then all this would not have happened. So that arrangements should be changed and FIR alone will not solve it.
On this occasion, rural and urban youth presidents of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Hon) were also appointed, in which Prabhasimran Deep Singh and Paramjit Singh were appointed. Shamsher Singh Brar, Punjab Youth President Tajinder Singh Deol, General Secretary Jatinder Singh Thind, Harmandeep Singh Khalsa, Gurinder Singh Bajwa etc. were present on this occasion.
