Punjab SC commission issues suo moto notice of Barnala lathi charge on sanitation workers
CHANDIGARH: The Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission has issued suo moto notices in three different cases. Giving information in this regard, the Chairman of the Commission, Jasvir Singh Garhi, said that the Commission has issued suo moto notices in three different cases that came to its notice through newspapers. He said that the first notice has been issued to SSP Barnala, a report has been sought from him regarding the lathi charge on sanitation workers.
Mr. Garhi said that in the same case, a report has been sought from the SSP of Jalandhar district regarding the lack of action in the murder of a Scheduled Caste girl named Anu, a resident of Halka Phillor. Apart from this, a report has been sought from the Deputy Commissioner of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar in a case regarding the crematorium of village Sahungra.
He said that the report has been sought on July 28 in these three cases.
