Documentary film on the life and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji inspiring people across villages
AMRITSAR: The Punjab Government is organising a series of programmes across the state to commemorate the 650th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji. As part of this initiative, a special documentary based on the life, philosophy and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji is being screened in different villages of Amritsar district through a Documentary Van. The initiative has been receiving an overwhelming response from the public.
On Tuesday evening, the Documentary Van reached Devidaspura and Dhirekot villages in the Jandiala Guru Assembly Constituency, and Beas and Dolonangal villages in the Baba Bakala Sahib Assembly Constituency. A large number of villagers watched the documentary on the LED screen installed on the van and drew inspiration from Sri Guru Ravidas Ji's timeless message of equality, devotion to God, humanity and universal brotherhood.
The documentary highlights the life of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, his significant contribution towards social reform, and his teachings on human values, social equality, universal brotherhood, selfless service and the dignity of labour.
On the occasion, villagers appreciated the Punjab Government's initiative to take the great teachings and sermons of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji to the masses, particularly the younger generation. They said that such documentaries play a vital role in connecting youth with the life, philosophy and egalitarian message of the great Guru.
