Bhagwant Mann has more vehicles and security gurads in his cavalcade than any CM in the past: Partap Bajwa

CHANDIGARH: Targeting Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for opting for a 'heritage' building in Jalandhar to reside in, the Leader of the Opposition (LoP), Partap Singh Bajwa, on Monday said that the Maharaja of Satauj has all set to fulfill his dream of living a lavish king-size life.

As per a news report, House Number 1, in the Old Baradari area of the city, is older than the 1857 First War of Independence. The first British Commissioner of Jalandhar division, Sir John Lawrence, moved into this house in 1848 —until then, Jalandhar was part of Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s empire. Meanwhile, an 11-acre property in the heart of Jalandhar is being readied for Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

"Before the Punjab assembly elections in 2022, all the members and leaders of the Broom Party vowed to lead a low-profile life after assuming the power. They committed to staying in small houses or flats and commuting in non-luxury cars. But after assuming the power, they have shown their true colours", Bajwa added.

Senior Congress Leader Bajwa said that the incumbent CM of Punjab has more vehicles in his cavalcade and more security guards than any previous CM of Punjab has ever had. It has been established now that CM Mann befooled the people of Punjab with lofty promises to gain votes.

"Similarly, the Aam Aadmi Party National Convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal spent Rs 52.71 crore on the renovation of his residence. Now the matter is being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation", Bajwa added.
