BJP had banned the Satluj movie out of fear that its narrative of being saviour of Hindus would die if film Satluj is released. The film made on Jaswant Singh Khalra had political impact on Punjab. The story of Khlra would have highlighted the point that it was Congress which saved the Hindus during days of militancy The nerrative might have damaged the BJP Hindu card in 2027 Punjab elections.
