HPSEB employees. engineers ,pensioners protest at Shimla

SHIMLA: On a call given by joint front of Himachal Pradesh State electricity Board employees and engineers on Thursday a state-wide rally of power employees & engineers was held at Kumar House in Shimla to protest against the delay in implementing the old pension scheme in the state electricity board and posting of regular managing director of HPSEB. Thousands of working employees and pensioners participated in the meeting.

SHIMLA: On a call given by joint front of Himachal Pradesh State electricity Board employees and engineers on Thursday a state-wide rally of power employees & engineers was held at Kumar House in Shimla to protest against the delay in implementing the old pension scheme in the state electricity board and posting of regular managing director of HPSEB. Thousands of working employees and pensioners participated in the meeting.

He rally was addressed by Er.Lokesh Thaker Convener Joint Front, Hira Lal Verma co-cponvener ,Kamleshwar Sharma President employees union ,Chander Singh Mandyal of Pensioners Forum, Suneel Grover Sr. Vice President AIPEF. And other leaders addressed the gathering.

Joint Front leaders expressed their concern at the dwindling financial health of the power utility and reasons thereof. In a resolution at the rally it was decided not to take the free power subsidy being given to them. Free power should be given to the deserving population of the state.

The Chief Minister has invited the joint front leaders on 18th to discuss the whole issue. In view of this the agitation programme has been deferred till January 18.The next meeting for any agitation will be held in the afternoon of eighteenth.

In case the issues are not resolved by then the protest and agitation will continue .

Shailendra Dubey, Chairman All India Power Engineers Federation (AIPEF) strongly supports the ongoing movement of power sector employees and engineers of Himachal Pradesh. The Federation has also written letters to the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh in this regard.
