AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has congratulated the entire Sikh world on Bandi Chhor Divas. In his congratulatory message, he said that this day, which is celebrated in memory of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji's release from Gwalior prison and reaching Amritsar, gives an inspiration to raise voice in favor of humanity.
He said that the sixth king set an exemplary example of philanthropy in the religious history of the world by freeing 52 kings from Mughal prison. Advocate Dhami appealed to the Sangat to live life in the light of Guru Sahib's teachings on the occasion of Bandi Chhod Day.
He also said that on the occasion of Bandi Chod Diwas, we have to enlighten our surroundings, at the same time we have to enlighten our minds by chanting Gurbani.
It is to be noted that as per the ongoing tradition of the Sikh community, Jathedar Singh Sahib of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh will give a message to the Sikh community from the Darshan Diori of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib at 5 pm tomorrow, November 12.
On the occasion of Bandi Chhod Divas, Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall, Sri Amritsar, continues the Gurmat ceremony, which will continue till November 13. Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Sri Darbar Sahib will also have beautiful Deepmala and fireworks.
