NEW DELHI: The NDTV Indian of The Year Awards saw the participation of numerous celebrities, including Bollywood stars. Among them was the acclaimed actor Rajkummar Rao, who was honored with the Actor of the Year award at the event.
Rajkummar Rao’s Film is 98% Real and 2% Bollywood Masala, Says Srikanth Bolla About His Biopic
NEW DELHI: The NDTV Indian of The Year Awards saw the participation of numerous celebrities, including Bollywood stars. Among them was the acclaimed actor Rajkummar Rao, who was honored with the Actor of the Year award at the event.
Rajkummar expressed his gratitude and shared his experiences working on his film Srikanth, which is based on the life of Srikanth Bolla, a visually impaired entrepreneur and the founder of Bollant Industries. Srikanth Bolla himself was present on stage alongside Rajkummar during the ceremony.
Talking about his biopic, Srikanth mentioned, “98% of the film is real, while the remaining 2% has some Bollywood masala.”
Rajkummar Rao thanked NDTV and reflected on the challenges and joys of his journey in 2024. He said, “This is my second Indian of the Year award; the first was in 2017. My aim is to bring meaningful stories to life and create films that touch hearts. 2024 has been an amazing year. I was on set this morning, and when I told the crew I had to fly to Delhi for this award, they were thrilled and supportive.”
Rajkummar has had a remarkable year, starring in acclaimed films like Stree 2, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, and Srikanth. Stree 2 received immense love from audiences, and during the event, Rajkummar also revealed that Stree 3 is definitely in the pipeline.
The actor’s dedication and ability to bring impactful stories to the big screen continue to earn him praise and admiration.
