Unidentified booked for duping Nakodar villager of Rs 80.00 Lakhs

PHAGWARA: The Cyber Crime Police Station Jalandhar(rural) has booked unidentified persons on the charge of duping a Nakodar villager of Rs 80.00 Lakhs by posing themselves as police officers.

Amarjit Singh a resident of Aadramaan village in the Nakodar subdivision complained to the Senior Superintendent of the Police (SSP) Jalandhar (rural) that unidentified persons duped him of Rs 80.00 Lakhs by posing themselves as police officers threatening to register a First Information Report (FR)against him on the charge indulging in pornography

Investigating Officer (IO)Surinder Kumar said SSP ordered an inquiry and registration of a case adding that a case under sections 318(4) and 319(2) of the B.N.S. (Bhartiya Nyaya Sahinta ) (420-IPC-cheating and 419-IPC-cheating by personation ) has been registered against the unidentified accused.
