Two Nigerians arrested living in India without valid Visa

PHAGWARA: The Phagwara Police have arrested two foreign national youths under section 14 Foreigners Act 1946residing in India without valid visa and passports. The Superintendent of the Police Phagwara Gurpreet Singh while confirming it told this correspondent here today that the arrested accused were identified as Salihu Iliyasu resident of Nigeria and Jaime Ripoco resident of Guinea.

PHAGWARA: The Phagwara Police have arrested two foreign national youths under section 14 Foreigners Act 1946residing in India without valid visa and passports. The Superintendent of the Police Phagwara Gurpreet Singh while confirming it told this correspondent here today that the arrested accused were identified as Salihu Iliyasu resident of Nigeria and Jaime Ripoco resident of Guinea.

SP said a police party headed by Sub Inspector was inspecting PG houses in Miherru when both were nabbed. SP said the cops had to call a translator Rohit due to language problem. The arrested Salihu was residing in Kapoor Castle paying guest house Green Valley Miherru who could not produce his visa for India. The second accused Jaime could also not produce his visa. The Police are investigating the matter in details.
