PHAGWARA: Though Phagwara Police have arrested 26 boys and girls including nine foreign nationals( 8 from Thailand and 1 from South Africa) on the charges involved in international flesh trade racket, but both PG owners who were providing rooms and were running this infamous racket were still at large.

Senior Superintendent of the Police Kapurthala Vatsalya Gupta while talking to This correspondet here today said that the police are investigating deeply to expose such rackets and to put the anti-social and anti-national elements behind the bar.

SSP said that the police got a secret tip off about running of these sex rackets and cops in plain clothes were also deputed to have a cat eye upon these anti-social activities. She said after confirming it to avoid leakage about police raids more than 30 cops suddenly raided at both centers of immoral trafficking.

It was learnt that both PG/Spa centers owners were providing girls to their customers @ around Rs 2,000/- per hour.The booking for it was being done through what’s app or offline also.

SSP Vatsalya Gupta and SP Phagwara Roopinder Kaur Bhatti said that many mediators were earning much more by providing girls for immoral trafficking.

S.P. Phagwara Roopinder Kaur Bhatti told that the police have registered two different FIRs in this case. In first case on the complaint of SHO Satnampura Jatinder Kumar the police have registered a case under section 3,4,5,7,8, Immoral Traffic Act and 14 Foreigners Act against eleven persons including PG Owner Lalit Prashar(Not arrested) resident of village Phurwala near Bilga who was running the racket near law gate Miherru. The other ten accused arrested by the cops were identified as Ajay Kumar of Village Phurwala, Jyoti of Kalanaur,Vivek Kumar of Jalandhar, Harpreet Kaur of Ludhiana, Dharampreet of Nurmahal, Neeraja of Jagraon,Kamal Bhatia of Bilga,Manjot of Ludhiana,Waaj of Miherru and NSHIMIRIMANA of Buranndi. The Police have recovered 11 mobile phones,Rs 21,000/- and five packets of Nirodh Condoms from their possession.

Bhatti told that in second case on the. Complaint lodged by SHO City Phagwara Gaurav Dhir the police have arrested 15 persons including PG Owner under section 3,4,5,7,8 Immoral Traffic Act and Foreigners Act.The arrested accused were identified as Mission and Spa Owner Deepak Behal(Amritsar),Jaspal Singh(Jalandhar),Shankar Arora(Phagwara),Sukhdip Singh(Amloh),Prabhjot Singh(Jalandhar), Beant Singh(Chack Hakim-Phagwara),Ankit Gupta(Jalandhar) and 8 foreign nationals including Suchitra,Velasine,Avarin,Rungtiwa,Ratanphoron,Nipaporn,Jenjira(all Thailand Nationals).

All arrested accused who were sent on police remand of one day on Sunday were again produced before judicial magistrate Phagwara today who sent them on police remand for two days more for further interrogation to expose international sex racket.It was reliably learnt that the cops are trying to recover passports of all foreign nationals to enquire about their international activities
