AMRITSAR: Every year World Hepatitis Day is celebrated to increase the awareness regarding Hepatic. Khalsa College of Nursing (KCN) celebrated World Hepatitis day under the theme “Lets’ Break It Down” at Atlantis Hospital, Amritsar under the guidance of Madam Principal Dr. Amanpreet Kaur and Medical Surgical Nursing Department Dr. Tarandeep Kaur (Associate Professor), Ms. Vandana (Assistant Professor), Ms. Deepti Sharma (Nursing Tutor).
On this day, the students of CHHBCA & COTA presented Health Education regarding Hepatitis, its causes and preventive measures at Hospital. Students had exhibited charts depicting key factors for healthy liver practices. The programme had been commenced at 10:00 am in presence of all administrative staff of Hospital. Nearly 100 attendees including patients and their relatives in the OPD had been given detailed Health Education regarding Hepatitis. Students had cleared their queries regarding Hepatitis and measures to promote liver health.
On this occasion Dr. Kuldeep Sharma (Executive Director), Dr. Vinod Sharma (Head Administrator), Dr. Veeru and Dr. Ranjit Kaur (Medical Superintendent) were also present. Students participated with great enthusiasm and zest. Their untired efforts and Co-operation with hospital staff acted as epitome to enhance the awareness regarding Healthy Liver in community.
