SGPC delegation inspects site for works to be carried out in Yuba City, USA
AMRITSAR: The delegation led by Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, visited the US to inspect the land for the Dharam Prachar Kendra, Press, Sikh Mission and Gurmat Vidyalaya to be established in Yuba City, USA and discussed the work to be done here with architects and local Sikh leaders.
It is worth mentioning that this land of about 14 acres has been given to the Shiromani Committee by the late Didar Singh Bains and his family.
The Shiromani Committee delegation included Senior Vice President Raghujit Singh Virk, Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Manan, Member Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, OSD Satbir Singh, Secretary Balwinder Singh Kahlwan.
In a press statement issued by the office in this regard, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that keeping in mind the sentiments of the Sangat of America and Canada, the Shiromani Committee had decided to establish a Dharam Prachar Kendra, Press, Sikh Mission and Gurmat Vidyalaya in America in the past. For this work, 14.5 acres of land was given to the Shiromani Committee by the late S. Didar Singh Bains.
He said that there is a huge demand for the holy forms of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji from many Sangats from America and Canada, which can be easily fulfilled with the establishment of the press here.
He said that this center being established for the purpose of Dharam Prachar will further strengthen the mutual cooperation between the migrant Sikh community and the Sikh organization, while this center will also be helpful in connecting the migrant Sikh children with Gurmat principles and Sikh traditions. He said that this work will be completed soon with the cooperation of local Sikh leaders and Sangats.

Kulwant Singh Khaira, S. Baljit Singh Mann, S. Jeevan Singh, S. Gursewak Singh Bhangu, S. Sukhwant Singh Khaira, S. Sukhwinder Singh, S. Nirmal Singh Janda, S. Mukhtiar Singh Grewal, S. Gurpreet Singh Gill, S. Inderjit Singh Happy, S. Dalbir Singh Sanghera, S. Joginder Singh Nijjar and others were present.
