CHANDIGARH: Qualifier Sumit Nagal of India, ranked 136th, has been drawn to meet 128th ranked and qualifier Jozef Kovalik of Slovakia in the first round of the € 408,800 ATP 250 Sardegna Open Tennis Tournament in Cagliari, Italy.

In the final qualifying round match, Jhajjar-born Sumit had an easy straight set 6-2, 6-1 in one hour and 16 minutes encounter against Maxime Janvier of France. Sumit won 61 per cent total points (63/104) against Janvier's 39 per cent (41/104)
