Farmer's daughter clears PMT test with 108th rank

She was not given admission last year since her age was six month less than the minimum age prescribed for admission.

Farmer's daughter clears PMT test with 108th rank

FATEHGARH SAHIB: Amritpal Kaur of daughter of a farmer Haspreet Singh of village Sampli Sahib near here has cleared her Pre-Meidcal Test(PMT) for second successive term and is ranked 108th among the successful candidates in 2015. She was not given admission last year since her age was six month less than the minimum age prescribed for admission.

Amritpal Kaur a student of Baba Zorawar Singh Fateh Singh Senior Secondary school had passed the PMT without any extra coaching except for guidance from her school teachers. She had cleared her 12th class with distinction and got 93.1 percent marks in medical stream with 24th rank in state merit. She stood first in district Fatehgarh Sahib. She also stood first in the district in Matric exam and got 15th rank in Punjab. "My focus was very clear to get into the medical profession which boosted my determination. At the end hard work paid me", she said.

Amritpal Kaur was not disheartened when she failed to get admission last year but became more determined to become a doctor. She is expected to get admission in a top college. Her ambition is to get admission in any college under Baba Farid Medical University.

Her school Principal Prof. R.S.Bajwa and School management Committee member Amarinder Singh Libra Congratulated Amritpal Kaur for her success.
