AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has decided to hold Gurmat ceremony and Amrit Sanchar at the constituency level, intensifying the dharma prachar movement. Under this, the preacher groups will go to every village to preach Sikhism and prepare the people for the Amrit Sanchar to be held in the constituency.

This Gurmat Prachar Vehir will be dedicated to the 450th centenary of Sri Guru Ramdas Ji's Gurtagaddi and Sri Guru Amardas Ji's Jyoti Jyoti Divas. It has been given in-principle approval during the meeting of the internal committee held here today under the leadership of Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami.

Giving information, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that in the month of September this year, the 450th Gurtagaddi Divas of the fourth Patshahji and the 450th Jyoti Jot Day of the third Patshahji will be celebrated by the Sikh community with national zeal and glory.

In this regard, vigorous religious propaganda movement will be intensified throughout Punjab. Amrit Sanchar will be organized at the constituency level.

He said that in connection with these centenaries, the gurmat samagam will be held on September 13 and 14 at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall, while at Sri Goindwal Sahib, Gurmat Samagam will be held from September 15 to 18.

According to the Shiromani Committee President, before this, the propaganda movement will be activated in a planned manner.
He also said that already the campaign teams are working in the villages of District Tarn Taran, Amritsar and Kapurthala, while now the program will be drawn up for the entire Punjab. Along with this, there is also a program of organizing events and Nagar Kirtan in states outside Punjab.

Matters related to Shiromani Committee and various historical Gurdwara Sahibs were also discussed during the meeting of the Inter-Committee.
