CHANDIGARH: Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee and Ludhiana MP, addressed the media today at Punjab Congress Bhawan, Chandigarh.
During the interaction, the PPCC Chief stated, “We were always confident about the Lok Sabha election results in Punjab. Our entire party has worked diligently over the past two years, and the results reflect this effort. The Punjab Congress has consistently advocated for Punjab’s rights and will continue to do so. We have won 7 out of the 13 available seats, and this trend will persist with a Congress-led state government in 2027. Our work is just beginning and will continue moving forward.”
Regarding Ravneet Bittu’s comments on the Bandhi Singh issue, he remarked, “I do not trust Ravneet Bittu’s statements. He often changes his position and changes his stance on issues from time to time. He previously claimed he left Congress for the BJP because Rahul Gandhi asked him to advocate for Bandhi Singh’s release. Now he himself supports their release. Due to his inconsistent statements, I do not trust his word.”
Speaking on the Punjab Congress’s preparation for the Jalandhar West by-elections, he said, “We are well-prepared and are working tirelessly to secure a win. Our efforts over the past two years have resonated with the people of Punjab. We will continue to champion Punjab’s rights, and our hard work will be rewarded in Jalandhar West as well just like it did in the Lok Sabha elections.”
Addressing the NEET scam, Warring commented, “The NEET scam is disheartening for the students who have worked hard over the years. Such incidents are unfair to our youth, who represent our future. The government must take measures to prevent these occurrences, as they undermine our children’s efforts.”
Warring concluded, “The concerns of Punjab’s farmers are being ignored. I plan to meet with farmer unions to plan how timely solutions can be found for their issues. I will ensure that the farmers’ voices are heard loud and clear in parliament.”
