Discrimination against Amritdhari Sikh candidates in Rajasthan judicial examination is extremely painful: Advocate Dhami

AMRITSAR: Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, president of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, has called it extremely painful and unfair that the government has not taken any action against those who violated the religious sentiments of a large number of Amritdhari Sikhs in the judicial examination at Jodhpur in Rajasthan.

He said that after the case of Gursikh girl Armanjot Kaur, a resident of Jalandhar, now the case of Lakhwinder Kaur, a Gursikh girl of Ambala cantonment, exposing her at a center of Jodhpur judicial examination has brought to light the discrimination against Sikhs in Rajasthan. has highlighted once again.

Advocate Dhami said that this phenomenon is going to hurt the Sikh sentiments towards which the Rajasthan government has the responsibility to take strict action against the guilty officials, but it is sad that even after the continuous objection of the Sikh community, the government is not fulfilling its responsibility.

According to information, in the judicial examination of Civil Judge held last week in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, the Amritdhari Sikh candidates were harassed at several centers and their religious sentiments were hurt due to their determination to defy the authorities, due to which many Sikh candidates Stay out of the exam. However, the instructions issued for the examination did not include anything like that.

The Shiromani Committee president said that this arbitrary action is a move to challenge the constitution of the country, for which action should be taken by the government against the guilty officials under the condition of hurting religious sentiments and insulting the constitution.

He said that the Sikh organization Shiromani Committee is with Lakhwinder Kaur and other victim Amritdhari candidates and will continue to work to punish the guilty officials by expressing their protest at all levels in this case.

Advocate Dhami also told that the SGPC has earlier in the case of Armanjot Kaur and other Sikh candidates, Chief Justice and Registrar (Examination) of Rajasthan High Court, Union Law and Justice Minister, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Chairman of National and State Minorities Commission. has written a letter to and now Lakhwinder Kaur's case too will be raised.

Advocate Dhami also appealed to the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib to convene a special meeting of all Sikh organizations for a long discussion on such anti-Sikh incidents that come up from time to time so that the governments can be given solid support.
