A seminar dedicated to the 450-year centenary was organized by the SGPC

KHADOOR SAHIB: Dedicated to the 450th centenary of Sri Guru Ramdas Ji's Gurtagaddi Divas and Sri Guru Amar Das Ji's Jyoti Jyoti Divas, a special seminar was organized by the Dharma Prachar Committee on the topic 'Life and Bani of Sri Guru Amar Das Ji' at Sri Guru Angad Dev Khalsa College here today.

Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harimandar Sahib Giani Parvinder Pal Singh, Padma Sri Baba Sewa Singh Kar seva Khadur Sahib, SGPC General Secretary Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, Balwinder Singh Kahlwan and Giani Mehtab Singh spoke.

On this occasion, famous Sikh scholar Dr. Amarjit Singh Guru Nanak Dev University and Dr. Inderjit Singh Gogoani Principal Khalsa College Senior Secondary School presented their research papers on 'Life and Poems of Sri Guru Amardas Ji'.
SGPC General Secretary Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta said in the presiding speech of the seminar that these two important centenary days are a golden opportunity to understand and explore the lives and teachings of the Gurus.

He said that Sri Guru Amardas ji ended caste and creed discrimination and gave the message of commonality, which is still a great inspiration for the progress of the society.

He said that while Gurmat events are being organized in connection with the centenary, special seminars have been arranged to advance the research work related to the life and philosophy of the Gurus. This is the second seminar, for the management of which Baba Sewa Singh Ji Padmasree has made a great contribution.

Before this, Baba Sewa Singh addressed the personalities who arrived at the seminar as "Ji Aya" and expressed the commitment of cooperation during the centenary celebrations.

Speaker of the seminar Dr. Amarjit Singh while talking about the life and ideology of Sri Guru Amardas Ji said that from the sacred words of Guru Ji, all-round instruction for the development of human life is obtained. The devotional service rendered by Guru Sahib even after his old age is a great inspiration for the devotees.

Dr. Inderjit Singh Gogoani, while presenting the pamphlet, said that the days related to the Gurus make us aware that we are the inheritors of that heritage, which is unique in the world. He said that in Gurbani, Guru Sahib has confirmed the teachings of a healthy and successful life. The prominent personalities present on this occasion were also honored by the Dharma Prachar Committee.

Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, Former Secretary and Director Nishan-e-Sikhi Institute of Religious Studies Prof. Variam Singh, Budha Dal chief Baba Balbir Singh 96th crore. Diljit Singh Bedi, former secretary Balwinder Singh Jorasingha, Associate Secretary Prof. Sukhdev Singh, S. Manjit Singh Talwandi, Manager S. Satnam Singh Riad, in charge Jogeshwar Singh, S.
