Congress leader Manish Tewari defeats BJP candidate Sanjay Tandon in neck-to-neck fight
CHANDIGARH: In a neck-to-neck fight in Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat, Manish Tewari Congress party candidate has defeated BJP candidate Sanjay Tandon with a margin of 3613 votes.
CHANDIGARH: In a neck-to-neck fight in Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat, Manish Tewari Congress party candidate has defeated BJP candidate Sanjay Tandon with a margin of 3613 votes.
Manish Tewari was polled 2,0829 votes and Tandon was voted 2,03,215 votes. BSP candidate got 6377 votes. Congress has won the Chandigarh seat after ten years. Kirron Kher remained MP from Chandigarh during last two terms.
The Chandigarh seat was contested by Congress in alliance with AAP. Both parties fought against each other in Punjab.
