Weekend curfew imposed in Chandigarh rom May 8 morning

CHANDIGARH: Chandigarh administration has imposed weekend curfew in the city to curb the surge in Covid-19 cases.

In revised guidelines issued today, the UT administration said that morning walk would be allowed from 6 AM to 9 AM. The curfew will remain in force from 5 AM on Saturday May 8 to AM on Moday, May 10.

Some relaxations have been announced which includes exemptions to passengers going or returning from the ISBT, Airport and Railway Station Chandigarh. The pregnant women or patients getting medical services are also exempted from Curfew.

All shops will remain closed during the curfew except for those selling milk, bread, vegetables, eggs meat. groccery etc will be allowed to make home delivery till 2 PM. The resraurents will be allowed to open till 8 PM only for home delivery.

All other restrictions and exemptions already in operation will continue.
